Flex Insurance celebrates 5 years offering choice and flexibility for the strata market!  

Flex Insurance started as Australia’s first digital underwriting agency offering choice for strata property owners. In five years, Flex has evolved, offering more flexibility and tailored residential strata insurance solutions to meet the needs of the market. 

This year, Flex proudly celebrated its fifth anniversary, marking half a decade of progress, partnership, and innovation. Over the years, Flex has grown to become a trusted partner for brokers, strata managers, and property owners seeking flexible strata insurance solutions. 

Flex’s Milestone Moments in Strata Insurance 

2024 was a transformative year for Flex, highlighted by the signing of a new Lloyd's binder, which went live in September 2024. This major milestone introduced new security arrangements, with Lloyd’s underwriting buildings with sums insured under $25 million, while QBE continues to provide backing for larger properties. This new agreement enhances Flex’s capacity and creates more opportunities for competitive pricing and underwriting options in the strata market.  The market has responded positively to the change in security, driving Flex to achieve record-high new business quote volumes, up nearly 50% year-on-year. 

The growth in the Flex business has also driven significant expansion in the Flex Insurance team. Now consisting of 16 underwriters with increased authority and the recently created dedicated Flex Insurance claims team.
